We Hear You Knocking . . .

The Traditional Anglican Communion, a breakaway Anglo-Catholic organization, created a stir last year when it petitioned Rome for “full, corporate and sacramental union,” i.e. admission into the Holy Catholic Church en masse. While there has been much buzz the Vatican is inclined to say yes, apparently not yet; the TAC is going to have wait a bit longer for an answer, given the letter (copied below) it has received from the Cardinal Levada of Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

Levada to TAC

The good news for the TAC is Rome has certainly not said no. It might well be the Vatican is awaiting a more appropriate time, e.g. not in the middle of the Lambeth Conference, to give the TAC the nod. Let us hope and let us pray.
