A Progressive Episcopalian Speaks Her Mind

From the Telegraph:
The Rt Rev Catherine Roskam, Suffragan Bishop of New York, said domestic violence is deemed acceptable in some parts of the world and that "even the most devout Christians" are guilty of it.

"We have 700 men here [at the Lambeth Conference]. Do you think any of them beat their wives? Chances are they do. The most devout Christians beat their wives. Culturally, many of our bishops come from places where it is culturally accepted to beat your wife. In that regard, it makes the conversation quite difficult."
The liberals have been instructing us for nearly fifty years the gross unfairness of stereotyping and I must say they have made a good job of it. These days, that sort of crude reactionary thinking can only be found among the most boorish and unenlightened people.
